I started watching Skins UK since its premiere in 2007, had read about it somewhere and in a moment of boredom decided to give it a go and watch it online. The first episode was…boring, but Tony looked good so I decided to not judge so rapidly and continued watching, as the show kept on progressing, each episode got better and last thing I know: I was hooked.
Comenzé a ver Skins UK desde su lanzamiento en el 2007 había leído sobre el programa en algún sitio y en un momento de aburrición, me puse a verlo online. El primer episodio fue…aburrido, pero Tony se veía bien así que decidí no juzgarlo tan rápidamente y lo continué viendo. Al transcurrir los capítulos, la serie fue mejorando hasta convertirme en fiel seguidora del programa.
Then series two came along…then series three (with a complete different cast), then series four…soon series five (will premiere next year with a new cast). -Skins change cast every two seasons, in order to keep the novelty factor.
Luego vino la Segunda temporada…luego la tercera (con un elenco totalmente diferente), luego la cuarta temporada….y proximamente viene la quinta (se estrenará el próximo año con un nuevo elenco). –Skins cambia de elenco cada dos temporadas para conservar el “factor de novedad”.
The show is all about sex, drugs, heavy drinking and all the struggles that come with being a teenager.
El show trata sobre todo de sexo, drogas, el abuso del consume de alcohol y las luchas que se presentan cuando se es adolescente.
Now the same makers of Skins UK have created Skins USA…yes! The exact same show but based in the states, aka American accents. This wasn’t exactly a shocker the States have done remakes of various famous english shows. Greatest example: The Office and the soon to come out “Shameless”.
Ahora los creadores originals de Skins UK lanzan una version Norteamericana llamada Skins USA…SI! Exactamente el mismo show PERO basado en Estados Unidos, osea, acentos norteamericanos. Esto no viene de sorpresa ya que, Estados Unidos sufre con hacer sus propias adaptaciones de programas ingleses. El mejor ejemplo: The Office y el próximamente a estrenarse “Shameless”.
I won’t judge until I watch but let’s be honest USA have annoying strict viewership guidelines for TV shows….you can’t curse (I mean REALLY curse..the naughty stuff), you can’t clearly consume drugs and you can’t show any type of nudity nor clear sex scenes.
No juzgare hasta que vea el programa, pero seamos honestos, los Estados Unidos tiene demasiadas reglas estrictas en lo concerniente con programas televisivas…asi que no dudo que Skins USA será una versión muy censurada de Skins UK.
Obviously if the show were to be on HBO or Showtime you could..but that’s another thing Skins USA is being made by MTV. The same network that gives: My Super Sweet Sixteen will show skins. Surely they won’t allow the same level of raunchiness Skins UK possess, so Skins USA will be a toned down version of Skins UK.
Obviamente si el show estuviera en HBO o SHOWTIME, no habria razon de censura PERO Skins USA saldrá por MTV. La misma cadena que da: Mis Super Dulce 16. No creo que MTV permita el mismo nivel de “obscenidad” que la versión inglesa.

We’ll see how it’ll turn out once it premieres.

One of our favorite T.V. show's cast has posted their halloween costume for this year and I don't know why but that has always been fun for me (to watch celebrities costumes). Probably because they always have very accurate and detailed costumes, well then again it is because they can afford it and because they have a stylist to help them. Nevertheless, do not get discourage by them! Some might be very extravagant but some can be really cheap and even home-made (hopefully we will soon be able to make our own costumes).
Here is one of our favorite t.v. show cast, Glee, in their halloween costume.
El cast de uno de nuestras series favorita ha publicado foto de sus disfraces de halloween y no se por qué pero siempre me ha gustado ver los disfraces de las celebridades. Probablemente porque casi siempre tienen disfraces exacto y detallado, bueno pero claro es porque ellos tienen el dinero y porque tienen un estilista para ayudarlos. Aún así, no debemos estar desanimados por eso! Algunos pueden ser muy extravagante pero otras son bien baratas y hasta pueden ser hechas por ti misma (Ojalá que nosotras podemos hacer nuestras propias disfraces pronto).

The wait is almost done! Only 3 more days to go before Lanvin's H&M collection comes out. (November 2nd) How awesome is this! and yet sad because we cannot order online : ( , well at least not straight from H&M. They should put on an online shop.
Alber Elbaz, the designer of Lanvin, has created this sophisticated chick, floral pattern bold black color dresses for H&M. Love them all! Beautiful designs, and a bit more than what you would usually pay for an H&M dress, but hey! Its Lanvin and it's a higher end clothing line, but no more than US$100. Isn't that GREAT?

With all the Halloween hype going on and with the date around the corner, people are now coming out with their costumes. As this year predicted, we will be seeing a lot of celebrities doppelgänger such as Lady Gaga of course, another Lady Gaga (there are just too many Lady Gaga costumes to choose from!), Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, the Na'vi from Avatar, even Lindsay Lohan with the SCRAM bracelet made it to the list. But not to forget the infamous and trashy MTV reality tv, the cast of 'Jersey Shore'- Snooki, JWOWW, the Situation, Pauly D and others (?).
And something Ellen Degeneres wouldn't let it slip away is the famous Snooki's puff! Check it out below! So far, the most innovative of all costumes seen this year. C'mon funny comedians, bring up your costumes!
